Waterford Road - 156th to 170th

This project provides for the reconstruction of Waterford Road from 156th Street west to 170th Street as a four-lane roadway with left turn lanes including grading, storm sewer, and a new bridge. The paving will be portland cement concrete with two 25-foot wide paving sections and a 15-foot grass median. The project will also include the construction of a second bridge over Walnut Creek. The bridge will be built to ultimately provide for 4-lanes of traffic and a 10-foot wide sidewalk on the north and south sides. A trail connection under the bridge will also be provided on the west side of the creek. It is anticipated that this project will be completed in June of 2019.

Project Status Update - 11/15/18

Waterford Road is open from 156th Street to 163rd Street. Waterford Road is closed to all through traffic.

Phase 2 from 165th Street to 170th Street including the intersection of 165th Street is closed.

Due to the wet fall weather and recent cold temperatures, the project will not be completed this year. The section between 163rd Street and 165th Street including the intersection of 165th Street is anticipated to be open by Thanksgiving. The remaining paving between 165th Street and 170th Street will occur in the spring of 2019. The intersection of 165th Street will need to close again in the spring.
